HOMOEOPATHY FOR FIBROADENOMA

Disease:

Fibroadenoma is a benign tumor (not cancerous) often occurs in women of their reproductive age. This tumor composed of glandular and fibrous (containing some glandular parts and fibers) tissues.

Breast tumors commonly found in young women and are associated with a slight increase in the risk of breast cancer. This type of breast tumor is common between the ages of 15 and 30.

Fibro adenomas may be discovered during breast self-examination, or during a routine check-up.

These tumors are firm, lumpy, round, movable, and rubbery on touch. Size of tumors ranges from 1-5 cm. This tumors moves easily under the skin and they are painless.

FIBROADENOMA

Types:

Simple fibroadenomas: very common with distinct borders

Complex fibroadenomas:  This type contains cysts and increases the chance of breast cancer.

Causes: 

Estrogen  hormone imbalance
breast cancer, 
Fibrocystic breast diseases.

Risk Factors: 

Young women.

• The risk of fibroadenoma was highest in women under 35 years of age, and it decreased with age after 35 and dropped markedly at the time of menopause.
• The risk decreased with increasing number of live births and with duration of oral contraceptive use.
• The risk increased with number of prior benign breast lesions and with decreasing age at the first benign lesion.
• The presence of ovarian hormones, and full-term pregnancies and exposure to exogenous estrogen-progesterones.

Symptoms:

Fibroadenomas usually cause no symptoms

• These lumps are transferable,
• These lumps are painless,
• These lumps are rigid, or chewy lumps with sharp borders.
• These lumps grow in size particularly during pregnancy. The breast size becomes no longer symmetrical as it compare to its previous size.
• The breast surface shows redness, accentuated veins and ultimately ulceration of the skin. 

Homoeopathy Treatment :

Homeopathy is strongly suggested in the treatment of Fibroadenoma. Homeopathy can be given as a baseline treatment in mild and moderate cases where as it has good supportive role in advanced cases of tissue changes. The results using homeopathy in the cases of Fibroadenoma are very good.

• Supplementation with vitamins E and  C and  evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis), flax oil, or fish oil and and the application of hot compresses to the breast.

• Homeopathy  and acupuncture
• Massaging the breasts with castor oil, straight or infused with herbs or essential oils, can help fibro adenomas reduce and dissipate
• Careful monitoring and examination of these tumor to detect any change in the size of the tumor
